My Shows!
I have two shows available:
Thomas the Rhymer
(winner of the Liam Byrne Award 2022) and
The Sex, Death and Mythology Cabaret
Thomas The Rhymer
In Thomas the Rhymer, Seany Minstrel, with the help of his ‘friends’, Thena, Tim, Guru Tovski and Baron Sam examine the mediaeval tale of True Thomas, a minstrel who was kidnapped by the Queen of Faery and disappeared for seven years.
How can the minstrel, through understanding True Thomas, become a bridge to a sense of self – especially for those of us who are a little ‘different’?

A video of a work-in -progress version of Thomas the Rhymer is available on YouTube by clicking this link.
The Sex, Death and Mythology Cabaret
In its live version a collaboration between Baron Sam and Tim the Excited Mythologer, The Sex, Death and Mythology Cabaret uses myths, anecdotes and Tarot imagery to look at who we are and who we might really be, and a way to find out (hint: it’s sex!). It’s loud, bawdy and funny.
A made-for-video version starring the other two personae, Thena and Guru Tovski, can be found here on YouTube.

Both shows use a combination of poetry, storytelling and musical accompaniment – singing with mandolin – to tell their tales.
Each is about 25-30 to minutes long and eminently suitable for small, cabaret-style venues.
The Sex, Death and Mythology Cabaret requires no tech (although lights and microphones are often nice), Thomas the Rhymer requires video projection. They can also be edited to fit time constraints
They are, however, totally unsuitable for religious fundamentalists and gender essentialists, celebrating adult, LGBTQ and BDSM themes throught
Oh, and no children, because they’re rude!
